Welcome to our birding and travel site. This originally started as a chronicle of our 2015 journey to see 500 species of birds in the United States. During our travels we visited beautiful locations, met interesting people and enjoyed the hospitality of many businesses. We work full-time, but spend most of our free time looking for birds. We are grateful for the help we receive from knowledgeable birders, expert guides and especially eBird.
We hope our stories will inspire you to take some weekend trips, explore this beautiful country and most of all have fun!
